1. Start by measuring the width of the opening from one side to the other, ensuring you measure from the inside edge of each side.
2. Next, measure the height of the opening from the ground to the top of the inside edge.
3. Don't forget to measure the space available on both sides of the opening and above it, as this will help determine the size of the roller door mechanism needed.
4. Lastly, take note of any obstructions like pipes or electrical boxes that may affect the installation.
5. Remember the Roller Garage Door will be wider than the opening as the guides sit behind the opening. The door drum will also sit above the opening, so make sure you allow for the minimum headroom.
